Global G.L.O.W. Clubs
Empowering Girls to Lead and Thrive
Since 2021, Tumaini La Maisha Kenya has partnered with Global Girls Glow to implement the Global G.L.O.W. (Girls Leading Our World) Clubs, providing safe spaces where adolescent girls develop leadership skills, confidence, and the knowledge needed to become advocates for positive change.
An evidence-based curriculum
The clubs are implemented using the Global Girls Glow evidence-based curriculum, grounded in the internationally recognised Collaborative for Academic, Social, and Emotional Learning (CASEL) framework. Delivered by trained mentors through interactive and participatory learning sessions, the curriculum equips girls with essential life skills.
- Leadership, communication and goal setting
- Self-esteem and life skills
- Financial literacy and entrepreneurship
- Gender equality, advocacy and civic participation
- Menstrual health and sexual and reproductive health education
What it changes
Through regular mentorship sessions, leadership workshops, peer learning, career guidance, and community engagement activities, girls gain the confidence to remain in school, make informed decisions, exercise their rights, and contribute meaningfully to their communities. The programme continues to nurture a generation of empowered young women prepared to lead with integrity, resilience, and purpose.
